Christmas is the time of joy and happiness that we share with our near and dear ones. Family and friends unite to enjoy this festival in full merriment, glorifying the name of God. Christians celebrate Christmas on December 25 every year. The world comes together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the son of God. Every Sunday, Christians attend a mass. It is to remember that Jesus Christ sacrificed his life to save us from sins. Then, he died and resurrected again for us. So, the word Christmas comes from Jesus Christ and Mass.
The celebration continues till December 26. Christians believe God sent His Son to Earth for us and sacrificed his life to Redeem Humankind. Therefore, people exchange gifts on this special day to remember God’s first gift to Humankind to save us from all evil and forgive our sins. It is the time to be caring, nurture our family and friends, and be thankful for all we have. God is kind to give us the life that we are living. He is blessing us every day with gifts of life, family, friends, peace, happiness, and health. We must appreciate this, glorify God’s omnipotent presence in our lives, and be kind to one another. It is a time for us to slow down. Reflect on the gifts that God has given us. Spend quality time with family decorating the Christmas tree, going for a holiday, and enjoying a big family meal. It helps us stop and retrospect on our life and the fantastic time we are having with our close ones. Christmas is only meaningful because of Jesus Christ. So, if he is celebrated, everything makes sense. Traditions like putting up a Christmas tree that symbolizes his purpose to come to Earth. Hanging lights that signify how he lights up our lives during our dark times and singing carols to worship and glorify His name. Most importantly, we must remember to pray as a family. The goal of Christmas is to purify Grace.
